Reading and Spelling: Development, Disorders and Remediation

13 - 15 April 2015, Macquarie University, Sydney


The conference, hosted by the ARC Centre of Excellence in Cognition and its Disorders, aims to bring together leading researchers from around the world to discuss reading and spelling development, disorders and remediation for both practice and research. The conference will therefore have two parts, one day focused on practice for teachers, clinicians and parents and two days focused on research for an academic audience.

Monday 13 April: Practice Day

The practice day is focused on reading and spelling development, disorders and remediation in applied settings and will be relevant for teachers, parents and service providers.

The research days will provide an opportunity for researchers to discuss recent research and issues critical to the field of reading and spelling development, disorders and remediation. The format will include six keynote presentations and a poster session.
