Profile

My background in research administration spans nearly 10 years. Since, October 2011, I have been the Chief Operating Officer of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Cognition and its Disorders (CCD). Before that I was the Research Administrator for the Macquarie Centre for Cognitive Science from 2006 until 2011. In 2005, I completed my PhD in Cognitive Science, investigating speech and language, at Macquarie University.

In my current role as Chief Operating Officer, I am the senior administrative staff member, leading a team of research support staff to deliver outstanding research support to Centre members, from workshop coordination, grant application support, financial management and research facilities.

Professional interests and approach:
To provide a high level of administrative support in the higher education sector to facilitate teaching and research achievements;
To seek efficient and sensible solutions in administrative services;
To encourage high performance of professional staff within my team through a positive and inclusive approach.
