Profile

I am a translational neuroscientist who works in the interface between cognitive and clinical neuroscience.

My research focus is on decision making and memory in the human brain. To investigate these processes I develop and employ experimental cognitive and neuroimaging techniques in neurodegenerative patient populations as well as healthy controls. I am particularly interested in contrasting different neurodegenerative conditions as human lesion models, to dissociate decision making and memory processes. At the same time I develop new cognitive and neuroimaging clinical procedures to improve diagnostics and disease tracking in neurodegenerative patients. My research is therefore strongly focused on a bidirectional translation of cognitive and clinical research findings with a direct impact on theoretical and clinical outcomes.
