Profile

My research interest concern visual word recognition, reading single words/nonwords aloud and word production (picture naming). Of these processes my research is focused on the peripheral (feature detection) and cognitive processes involved, included selective attention and the construction of type-token linkage. Empirically I use tasks that required a response to an imperative stimulus (a picture or a word) in the presence of a distractor stimulus (a nonword or a word). At Macquarie University I am working to implement a Semantic routine in the DRC model, understanding how the semantic version of the model account for the human data, considering the existing interplay between the semantic, lexical and sub-lexical routines.
